Taylor Johnson is proud of being from Washington, DC. They've received fellowships and scholarships from CALLALOO, Cave Canem, Lambda Literary, VONA, Tin House, the Vermont Studio Center, Yaddo, the Conversation Literary Festival, the Bread Loaf Environmental Writers' Conference, and the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown summer workshops.
Their work is published in or forthcoming from, Tin House, Third Coast, Indiana Review, CALLALOO, Vinyl Poetry, and Scalawag, among others. Their essay "Masculinity as Phantasmagoria" is published in the anthology Outside the XY: Queer, Black and Brown Masculinity. In 2017, Taylor received the Larry Neal Writers' Award from the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities.
